Cometan is an English philosopher, human rights scholar and new religious movement founder who was born in the city of Preston in Lancashire on 1st July 1998. From the age of 15, Cometan founded his own cosmocentric religion and philosophy he named Astronism that espouses a form of salvation via space exploration called transcension. From the age of 19, Cometan has worked in the human rights field by specialising in religious freedom, work that has altogether culminated in his embarking onto a PhD progamme at the University of Central Lancashire at age 22 where he studies state recognition and registration issues that cause religious freedom violations. Cometan runs his own website called Cometan.org and various other websites, channels and blogs that dispense his Astronist beliefs such as Astronism.com. Cometan has seven half-siblings (3 brothers and 4 sisters). Since 2020, Cometan has also worked on campaigning for his two paternal grandparents, Irene Mary Taylor and Derrick Taylor, to be considered for beatification in the Catholic Church.
